Messaging helps you create messages and distribute them to your customers as needed. These messages can include:
- Let your customers know about terminal outages
- Inform customers about usual activity in the market
Create a message
Here’s how to create a message:
- From the DTN Fuel Seller dashboard, click Messaging. The Send Message page opens.
- Enter the following information about the message to send:
Item | Description |

Select Channel | Lists your channels of trade. All messages must be tied to a channel. |
Message Name | Enter a name for the message. |
Deliver To | Indicates where the message will be sent. Options are:
All Sites = Sends message to all customer sites as defined through DTN’s messaging service. List of Sites = Selects sites. Customer Groups = Identifies a group of customer sites. Defined through the Customer Groups pane of the Messaging menu. List of Terminals = Sends messages to all customers authorized at the selected terminals. |
Custom Billing Code | Describes a proprietary code that ties billing to a customer code for a back office application. |
Delivery Priority | Indicates if this is a priority or non-priority message. |
Delivery Date Time | Controls when the message is sent. If you select Delayed, a date / time selection tool appears; otherwise, the message is sent immediately. |
Message | Enter the desired text for your message. |
- Click Send to send the message to the Deliver To selection.
